Background:
This is a true story we heard from customer, which is a mango orchard owner in Colombia who faced years of frustration before discovering the simplicity and reliability of Solar Seeker.

User’s Pain points:
The controller often burns out the water pump

Solution:
The orchard owner had long relied on a diesel-powered pump to irrigate his mango trees. But as global fuel prices soared, the cost became unsustainable. Determined to find a greener, more cost-effective solution, he began looking into solar-powered water pumping systems.

Seven years ago, through a local installer’s recommendation, he installed his first solar water pump system. In the first year, it significantly reduced his energy costs and seemed like a perfect solution.

Unfortunately, the success didn’t last. Starting from the second year, the system’s controller and pump began to experience frequent issues. Sometimes, the controller failed, and because it was too complicated to operate, he had to call the installer for repairs—which typically took 3 to 5 days. Other times, he couldn’t identify the problem at all. The pump would stop working without warning, and he had no idea how to troubleshoot it. He often had to hire workers to pull the pump up from the deep well and manually inspect each component. On one occasion, he waited 20 days for the system to be fixed—by then, a large section of his mango trees had died due to water shortage, resulting in a serious loss.

Three years ago, the controller once again burned out his pump. That was the last straw. He decided it was time to overhaul the system. He reached out to one of our local partners—a professional installation team. After conducting a thorough on-site inspection, our partner found that both the solar panels and the pump were still in good condition. To save time and money for the orchard owner, they proposed replacing only the controller—with a Solar Seeker unit.

The engineers visited the site and completed all the wiring in just 30 minutes. To the owner’s amazement, it took only one minute to configure the controller, and the pump immediately began delivering water to the orchard. He was stunned and said, “This is the first time I’ve seen a controller that’s so easy to use!”

This simplicity is no coincidence. Every Solar Seeker controller is pre-configured at our factory in China, so users don’t need to perform any complicated on-site setup—just plug in and go. This is a sharp contrast to other brands that often require complex field adjustments.

After the full system was checked, the engineers explained that the new controller includes features like dry-run protection, low-frequency protection, and automatic adjustment on cloudy days—greatly reducing the risk of pump failure. If a problem does occur, the user simply matches the 3-digit code displayed on the controller with a basic manual to quickly identify and fix the issue—without waiting for a technician.

Now, three years later, the system continues to run smoothly. The orchard owner happily reports that he hasn’t experienced a single interruption in water supply since switching to Solar Seeker. It’s made a huge difference in his operations—and in his peace of mind.

Unlike some inverter manufacturers who only offer a low-cost product with a manual and no real service, leaving users frustrated when problems arise, Solar Seeker takes a completely different approach.

We actively listen to user feedback and make over 10 times improvements to our products every year. Our goal is to continuously enhance functionality while keeping operation as simple as possible.

Solar Seeker inverters are designed to be compatible with all major pump brands, including Lorentz, Grundfos, Dongyin, Leo, and Mastra—ensuring stable performance and a hassle-free experience for users everywhere.
